seneca as A colt
Seneca is a native of Rochester! His Mom, Shakka, is a mare owned by the Rochester Mounted Patrol. Seneca received his light grey almost white color and freckles from his Appaloosa father. He was born on June 23, 1986. During the first 4 and a half years of his life he lived at Lollipop farm. Lollipop farm is one of the Rochester area Humane Societies. Seneca is pictured here as a pony just starting to get his adult coat. He was trained by Officer John Walther and former Officer Ronnie Runzo.
Seneca as an adult and Officer Stauber complete a detail at the Eastman School
Seneca started 'walking the downtown beat' when he was 4 and a half years old. He stands 16.3 hands tall and weights 1400 lbs. Above Seneca as an adult and Officer Stauber complete a detail at the Eastman School of Music Theater on the corner of Main St. and Gibbs in the City of Rochester. We know of no other mother and son equine team working as police mounts in the U.S. Other photos of Seneca
